Charlaine Harris has finally had enough of Sookie Stackhouse

Much like Alan Ball, this recent True Blood trailer, and myriad viewers and readers, Charlaine Harris has finally had enough of Sookie Stackhouse. The author of the very popular Southern Vampire Mysteries series has announced that next year's 13th entry, Dead Ever After, will be her last about the Louisiana waitress who seems to be the only available sex partner to every brooding monster-man within a 100-mile radius. Harris officially broke the news on her Facebook page, though she first revealed her decision in a recent interview with the Houston Press, saying, "I don't have anything left to tell" about the increasingly repetitious world of Bon Temps. Fortunately for fans, the HBO show is set to continue, and there are probably at least a few other stories about vampires out there somewhere. [via The Guardian]
