Anderson .Paak may be getting all the attention these days, but the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn is where some serious neo-soul R&B is going down. Specifically, the elegantly smooth new duo Cool Company, composed of singer Yannick Hughes and producer Matt Fishman. While previous tracks like “Call You Back” and “Why You Gotta Make Me Do It” focused on upbeat dance-floor rhythms, the group’s new song “Slice Of Paradise”—an exclusive premiere on The A.V.
