Courtney Love would now like Ryan Gosling or James McAvoy to play Kurt Cobain, please
Having quickly squashed those rumors regarding Robert Pattinson, Courtney Love—who appears to have just as quickly rescinded her pleas to be referred to as “Courtney Michelle,” which kind of makes us want to do it now—appeared on The View this week to generate even more headlines. And while most of us were distracted by her revelation on Howard Stern’s show that Gavin Rossdale had cheated on Gwen Stefani with her—about which she said, “The thing is that everyone gave me so much shit because Gavin sounded a lot like Kurt, but man, he was such an Adonis in his day”—NME picks up on something perhaps even more interesting that we didn’t notice because we cannot stand watching The View. Asked about the upcoming Kurt Cobain biopic (which see says she will most likely never see because “it would be too painful to watch”), Love said that either Ryan Gosling or James McAvoy would play Cobain—the latter because he “looks like if Edward Norton and Kurt had a baby,” which is kind of gross to think about, considering her sexual history with both of them.
BONUS: She also recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel’s show—once again sounding sober and coherent, so good for her—to declare that the “Courtney Love/Michelle” thing was misrepresented in the press and talk about her audition for The Mickey Mouse Club, back when she used to be totally “desperate” for fame.
