The Vegas Sphere taps another legacy rock act for a residency
Following residencies from U2 and Phish, the Las Vegas Sphere will host Grateful Dead offshoot band Dead & Company

What is Dead may never die: Dead & Company officially retired from touring in 2023, “But there are other ways to make sure the music never stops,” the band teased on their social media on Wednesday. The “other ways” include doing a residency, which is technically different from a tour because you just stay in one place the entire time. This particular residency, “Dead Forever,” will take place at the Las Vegas Sphere, “And it’s gonna be a ball.” (Get it?)
The Grateful Dead offshoot band follows fellow rockers U2 and Phish with a six-week residency that begins in May. The band will play three shows a weekend, and each weekend’s three performances will feature a unique setlist, per Variety. The show will feature “never-before-seen visual storytelling from Dead & Company, providing fans with the ultimate connection to the music through these innovative and immersive shows.”
