Deadmau5 taking a break, needs to figure out "whatever the fuck it is" he does

Despite making $11.5 million last year for essentially partying, Deadmau5 just isn’t happy. He took to Tumblr earlier this week to let fans know he’s “going to unplug for a wee bit”—not canceling shows or quitting music, but he’s “just gunna slam on the breaks for a bit and force myself to endure some quiet time.”

Perhaps best known to non-fans for wearing his signature mouse head, Deadmau5 has made his name in the EDM world not just with his music, but with his strong opinions. In recent months, he’s gone on record against Paris Hilton, Madonna, and Snooki (all tough targets, to be sure). Venting all that negativity hasn’t made him feel any more positive, though, as he said on Tumblr, “im basicly pretty miserable right now, and need to pull the fuck back and figure out whatever the fuck it is i do.”
