Destroyer announces new album, tour dates

Destroyer will warble its way into fans’ hearts via a new record this August. Poison Season is due out August 28 on Merge, both as a single CD or double LP. The first single, “Dream Lover,” is below, and press materials claim that Poison Season draws from acts like Aztec Camera and Prefab Sprout, as well as a sort of bitter vibe that’s both biblical and inspired by musical theater. In other words, it sounds like a typical Destroyer record.

The record’s release will be supported by a full-scale Destroyer tour, dates for which are below.
