The trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs continued in Los Angeles today as Scott Mescudi, a.k.a. Kid Cudi, took the stand to testify against Combs. Mescudi, who dated Cassie Ventura until they broke up out of fears for his and her “safety,” recounted several confrontations with the beleaguered mogul, claiming the “Come To Me” rapper had broken into Mescudi’s house and blew up his car with a Molotov cocktail in two incidents between December 2011 and January 2012.

Mescudi and Ventura’s relationship began in 2011, and at the time, he claims, “she and Sean Combs had some problems” but weren’t dating, Variety reports. However, after Combs found out about the relationship, Mescudi recalls Ventura sounding “stressed, nervous, and scared” and telling him that Combs had been abusive. Later, in December, he received a call from one of Combs’ nervous employees, alerting Mescudi that Combs was in his house. When Mescudi arrived home, he found signs of a break-in, with formerly wrapped Christmas presents unboxed and his dog locked in the bathroom. Although Mescudi wanted to confront Combs about the trespassing, he called the police and filed a report instead. Mescudi broke up with Ventura after the holidays, but the incidents continued.

Mescudi testified that weeks later, on January 9, 2012, at 6:30 A.M, his dog sitter called to alert him that his Porsche was on fire. Per Variety, photos shown in court revealed smoke damage to the doors, burns to the interior, and a hole cut in the roof. (Interested parties can visit USA Today for the photos.) A Molotov cocktail was found near the car. Mescudi confronted a “calm” and “off-putting” Combs about the incidents. The two shook hands, but when Mescudi asked about the vehicle, Combs replied, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Mescudi believes he was lying. Last week, Ventura testified that Combs threatened to “hurt” Mescudi and “blow up his car.”
