Don't worry, the rest of Michael Bay's Ninja Turtles all have the experience necessary to portray Ninja Turtles

Having settled on who would be tasked with conveying the Jungian duality of turtles as the temperamental Raphael, the Michael Bay-produced Ninja Turtles reboot has now cast the other, less emotionally complex turtles for him to play off of, filling out the world’s most fearsome fighting and talking-about-their-issues team. Deadline reports that Pete Ploszek, Jeremy Howard, and Noel Fisher have all signed on as the rest of the turtles who are also aliens (but let’s not get into that again right now), each of them boasting the past experience with their individual turtle's traits that was crucial to their casting, apparently.

Ploszek will play Leonardo, the sense of entitlement he conveyed as a nepotism-boosted congressional intern on Parks And Recreation reprising itself in the role of the Turtles’ equally arrogant leader. Fisher, seen in Shameless, will bring his familiarity with self-indulgence to Michelangelo—like William H. Macy on that show, a “party dude” forever doomed to have that as his epitaph. And Howard will apply his history of roles like “Nerd #2” and “Dead Nerd” to Donatello, who overcompensates for his own nerdiness by wielding a large, phallic bo staff. These personality dynamics are already being workshopped, no doubt, in the sewers of New York City, while the production moves on to finding someone who can play Shredder with a similar oeuvre of being angry and Japanese.
