Dynamic Duo fills its nest of Robins with Mason Thames, Logan Kim

Despite Reeves’ involvement with the film, Dynamic Duo is reportedly not set in the universe of the director’s The Batman franchise, which will surely bum out folks still clinging to the vain hope that they’ll one day see Robert Pattinson and David Corenswet reenact the Batman-Superman cafe chats of How It Should Have Ended. The Wrap says that Duo will “divert from the comics canon” by depicting Dick Grayson and Jason Todd—the Robins who grow up to be vigilantes Nightwing and Red Hood—as “orphans and childhood friends who are pulled apart by destiny. Grayson (as happens in the comics) is taken in by Bruce Wayne and becomes the Robin to his Batman, while Todd falls in with the criminal Red Hood Gang.” Filling out that criminal organization, whose crimson-domed origins frequently coincide with the Joker’s in the comics, are Lee Pace as “Red Hood One” and Steve Buscemi as “Red Hood Two”, which sounds pretty awesome, especially if “Red Hood One” ends up turning into that clown prince of crime we just mentioned.
