Famous athletes to let Lil Wayne make their business decisions
Fulfilling the dream of every young rapper who aspires to one day drop an album so hot, he can represent athletes in contract negotiations, Lil Wayne is launching his own sports management company, following in the footsteps of 50 Cent and Jay Z before him. According to TMZ, Wayne’s first (and so far, only) client will be Portugese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the sport’s most visible—and valuable—superstars. Naturally, the time is right for Ronaldo to put his important business decisions in the hands of Lil Wayne, a rapper who has the word “BAKED” tattooed on his forehead.
While it won’t actually be in charge of Ronaldo’s football contracts, Wayne’s company will oversee Ronaldo’s affairs in the United States—“everything from branding to marketing and endorsement deals. Even modeling.” No doubt Wayne will bring the same hard-line negotiating tactics to these legal proceedings he’s brought in the past, refusing to entertain anything less than top-dollar offers while barely tolerating the stupid-ass questions of potential branding partners.
Wayne is, of course, no stranger to maneuvering within the professional sports world, having blogged for ESPN and repeatedly fought with the Miami Heat, including telling Chris Bosh that he fucked his wife. Sometimes Lil Wayne also gets bored and decides to be a skater.
There hasn’t been any official announcement yet, but Ronaldo did recently tweet a photo of himself and the Japanese Prime Minister making the Young Money sign.
Last year, Ronaldo’s prospective business manager debuted a video where he rapped about negotiating with a butt.
