First Ant-Man trailer features ants, men, little Paul Rudd
Marvel got cheeky last week when it released an “ant-sized” teaser for its upcoming Ant-Man movie, featuring a video so unwatchably small that it only existed to promote the release of a “human-sized” teaser a few days later. That teaser, of course, only existed to promote the movie’s first real trailer, which only exists to promote the actual movie, but we’re getting ahead of ourselves. The Ant-Man trailer is finally here, and it shows our first real glimpses of Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang, Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym, Evangeline Lilly’s Hope Van Dyne, and Corey Stoll’s Darren Cross—the guy who will eventually become the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s version of Yellowjacket. We also get to see some ants, and—more importantly—Paul Rudd in the full Ant-Man suit shrinking down and riding on top of said ants. Ant-Man has already seen a significant amount of behind-the-scenes turmoil, so at least this trailer proves that the movie is really finally coming out. It may not be the same movie Edgar Wright initially wanted it to be, but it’s a superhero thing starring Paul Rudd. That makes it worth a look, right?
