Forbes releases another list of rich, famous people who continue to be rich and famous

Though Forbes spends every other day dividing wealth and attendant peasant envy along lines of profession, gender, and medium—ranking the highest-paid TV stars, highest-paid male performers, highest-paid male TV stars, highest-paid male TV stars wearing the purtiest hats you ever did see, etc.—its end-all, be-all arbitrary wealth ranking is the annual highest-paid celebrities list. (If you were to make a list ranking all the "highest-paid" lists, then the "highest-paid celebrity list" would top that list. It's a list celebrity!) Anyway, one could argue that this endlessly stacking and restacking of celebrity names based on how much money they earn would make these things sort of dull and redundant over time, but then, what else is Forbes going to talk about? Greece? That shit is fucking complicated and you can't stick Tom Cruise's face on it. Nobody wants to talk about Greece.

So once again, here are some rich people who are still rich, because they are rich enough to do things to ensure that they keep being rich. Many of them you will probably hate. Hey look, Michael Bay is second only to Oprah. Who would have guessed that churning out loud, pandering, easily digestible schlock would make you lots of money (besides his list compatriots Jerry Bruckheimer and Rush Limbaugh)? Hey look, Donald Trump is still rich. Hey look.
