Never mind who watches the watchmen. The question has shifted to who owns the movie rights to Watchmen? See, back in 1986 a studio called Fox acquired the rights. Then a whole lot of legal stuff that I won't pretend to understand happened. Now Fox is claiming that it Warner Bros.' forthcoming Watchmen adaptation might not have been within their rights to make.
