Game Of Thrones’ Natalie Dormer to wander through Japanese suicide forest
Not letting co-stars like Kit Harington and Peter Dinklage be the only ones leveraging the popularity of Game Of Thrones into more robust film careers, Natalie Dormer has been cast in The Forest, a supernatural thriller written and produced by David S. Goyer. The quietly conniving Margaery Tyrell—who’s also set to appear in the final two Hunger Games movies—will play an American woman who heads to Japan to look for her missing twin sister. The search leads her to Aokigahara, a real forest that rests at the base of Mount Fuji. In addition to featuring several caverns of interest to tourists, Aokigahara has the dubious distinction of being a very popular place for people to commit suicide—so popular that authorities have put up signs urging visitors to reconsider.
