Gene Simmons and the WWE are launching a horror-movie label
In a compact sealed with the WWE’s traditional ceremonial chair shot, the professional-wrestling company has joined forces with KISS frontman Gene Simmons to form a new genre label. Complete with the headbanger-ready moniker Erebus—named after the Greek god of darkness—the label will produce and finance horror films. Its first project is Temple, based on a screenplay by newcomer Matt Savelloni; in the film, a group of military operatives is trapped inside a compound after its AI mysteriously malfunctions. There, the soldiers encounter some spooky stuff, like, we presume, muscular dudes in face paint, because this is a joint venture of Gene Simmons and the WWE.
