Léa Seydoux is a pianist torn apart by secrets in Gentle Monster trailer

Gentle Monster, which premiered at Cannes earlier this year, is the latest film from Austrian filmmaker Marie Kreutzer. Her previous film Corsage, a period piece starring Vicky Krieps, was Austria’s entry for the 95th Academy Awards. Legendary French actress Catherine Deneuve joins the Gentle Monster cast opposite Seydoux, Laurence Rupp, and Jella Haase. 

Seydoux has been busy the past few years, appearing in a variety of films for famous directors both at home in France and in Hollywood. She performed in Bruno Dumont’s dramedy France, David Cronenberg’s Crimes Of The Future, Wes Anderson’s The French Dispatch, Mia Hansen-Løve’s One Fine Morning, Bertrand Bonello’s The Beast, Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two, and Ildiko Enyedi’s Silent Friend to name a few. She even reprised her role in the latest Death Stranding sequel last year. 

Gentle Monster will open in select theaters starting October 30 before sweeping over to Netflix on November 18.
