Take another little piece of Jean Smart in the Hacks season four trailer

Emmy-magnet Jean Smart returns in the new season of Hacks. However, while the cast remains the same, the dynamics have shifted since we last saw Deborah Vance. Set to the raspy vocals of Janis Joplin, Vance continues making hell for her team, focusing her ire on the ascendant former assistant-turned-showrunner, Ava (Hannah Einbinder). Now the host of her own late-night talk show, the thing she’s spent her career working toward, Vance must learn to work for and with Ava as they set about making television history.

All your favorite hacks are back, including creator Paul W. Downs, Megan Stalter, Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Mark Idelicato, Rose Abdoo, Dan Bucatinsky, Helen Hunt, Tony Goldwyn, Kaitlin Olson, Jane Adams, Lauren Weedman, Christopher McDonald, Poppy Liu, Lorenza Izzo, Johnny Sibilly, Paul Felder, Polly Draper, Luenell, and Aristotle Athari. The show is also bringing Julianne Nicholson, Michaela Watkins, Bresha Webb, Robby Hoffman, Eric Balfour, Danny Jolles, Gavin Matts, Grover Whitmore, III, Holmes, Jasmine Ashanti, Katy Sullivan, Matt Oberg, and Sandy Honig aboard. Sure, there are a lot of names, but many of them are very funny, so we’re sure that the lure of another season of Hacks will be impossible to refuse.

The 10-episode new season debuts with two new episodes on Thursday, April 10 at 9 p.m. EST on Max.
