Earlier this year, Sixth Sense star Haley Joel Osment was arrested and charged with alleged public drunkenness and cocaine possession at Mammoth County ski resort in Mono County, California. The incident was caught on camera, and videos of Osment using antisemitic slurs and calling the arresting officer a “Nazi” spread online, prompting an apology from the actor, who claimed to be in the “throes of a blackout.” The Mono County DA later charged him with two misdemeanors: disorderly conduct and possession. Per The Los Angeles Times, Osment must now commit to six months of Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and therapy if he’d like the criminal charges tossed, granting the actor’s request for a one-year diversion. The actor must attend at least three AA meetings weekly and at least two sessions with a therapist and “obey all laws” over the next six months. If not, “the criminal proceedings will be reinstated,” Mono County DA David Anderson said in a statement. Though the judge granted Osment a diversion, the DA disagreed with Osment’s diversion request, pointing to a previous DUI conviction.
