Here’s what’s happening in the world of television for Wednesday, December 27. All times are Eastern.
Happy! (Syfy, 10 p.m.): The investigation is starting to pick up steam, and Sax and Happy follow the trail of clues to Chinatown. Unfortunately, not all is well (and really, things are pretty fucked up even at their best on this show), as Blue’s sister is looking for revenge, and it probably isn’t going to be pretty. Andrea Reiher will be there to see just how animated things get, and we’re really sorry for that pun.
Vikings (History, 9 p.m.)
Marcella (Netflix): If you have yet to check out Netflix’s British crime thriller—or rather, this particular iteration of that seemingly inexhaustible pairing of country and genre—the winter TV hiatus is the perfect time. It’s an eight-part murder mystery anchored by a great performance from Anna Friel as a former detective pulled back on the job; unfortunately, she’s also begun blacking out at inopportune moments. A delectably satisfying binge show for your entertainment needs.
