Charlie Sheen's dad to make sure his son stays on best behavior on new sitcom, Happy Jack

The show is unsurprisingly kind of what you’d expect from a sitcom starring Martin and Charlie Sheen. Charlie plays Jack, a “lifelong ne’er-do-well,” with two great daughters who were mostly raised by his dad (Martin Sheen). One daughter runs Jack’s company; the other is planning to abscond with an investment-banker-turned- #vanlife guy who’s the same age as Jack. Daddy may not like this, but what does granddaddy think? Family-friendly hilarity ensues. 

Announced earlier today, Happy Jack will begin production in Los Angeles early next year for a six-episode first season, set to premiere later in 2027 on AMC and AMC+. Despite Sheen receiving an all-timer character death in the Two And A Half Men finale, the “winning” actor’s latest series isn’t too far from the Chuck Lorre universe. Happy Jack will be co-showrun by Two And A Half Men and The Ranch writers Jim Patterson and Matt Ross, so at least they know what they’re getting into.
