Happy Labor Day from The A.V. Club

It’s Labor Day in the United States today, the one day out of the year where we collectively come together as a nation to quietly acknowledge that hey, maybe working ourselves to death while living quiet lives of desperation isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. (We also grill.) Given that we here at The A.V. Club are both a) members of a union shop and b) grillmasters general, we’re taking the day off. Hitting the old dusty road. Skedaddlin’. Vamoosifying. We’re not here today, is what we’re trying to express.

Never fear, though, fans of thoughtful pop culture criticism written by people who also use the word “skedaddle” in casual conversation: We’ll be back tomorrow, with a brand new week of features, news, and reviews, tackling everything from Stephen King to King, Stephen. (That’s right; we’re going K to S!)
