HBO revives The Life And Times Of Tim for an unexpected third season
HBO hasn't made it easy for The Life And Times Of Tim, the shaggy deadpan sitcom that often plays like an animated It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Its pick-up for a second season came at the last minute, and the announcement it wasn't picking the show up for a third season came a month after the season ended, making the Tim creative team sweat while it searched for a new home. And although the show's production company spent the off-season pitching to Comedy Central, Adult Swim, and TBS, HBO announced yesterday that, actually, they still want Tim. Shame on HBO for tugging at Tim's heartstrings so, but bully for the undercover hilarious show and its fans—whom Deadline refers to as mostly "comedy writers."
