Heathcliff will get a CGI update from company dedicated to making sure everything gets one

Lost in a reverie of childish whimsy and capricious identifying that whimsy as suitable for developing multi-platform branding opportunities, Waterman Entertainment has added the cartoon cat Heathcliff to its growing reserves of acquired family properties like Alvin And The Chipmunks, The Brave Little Toaster, and Mister Ed that it plans to transform into franchises and the fleeting, hollow laughter of children. The orange cartoon cat, a precursor to Garfield who nevertheless always came second in popularity, will get another chance at besting, or at least plateauing alongside his rival with both a new, 13-episode animated series and a live-action/CGI movie—one that will undoubtedly draw comparison to Garfield's own live-action/CGI movies, but without "the commonality of addressing social values, morality lessons, and characteristics that are clearly identifiable for kids with comedic elements for all age groups" that children have come to expect from the Waterman Entertainment name. It's just like the theme song to the 1980s Heathcliff cartoon says: "Heathcliff, Heathcliff, no one should / Terrify their neighborhood / But Heathcliff just won't be undone / At least not without addressing the social values and morality lessons with characteristics that are clearly identifiable for kids."
