Henry Cavill luxuriates in Geralt of Rivia's lustrous, gray locks in first look at The Witcher
Now that he’s punched free of both the red cape and CGI smile that masked his true potential, Henry Cavill is free to become the lionhearted man-beast that his very large arms demand he be. He’ll do just that as Geralt of Rivia, the anchor of Netflix’s upcoming adaptation of The Witcher, which is based not on the CD Projekt Red games so much as Andrzej Sapkowski novels.
“He was my first meeting. I didn’t have writers or scripts yet – just a greenlight and a lot of passion,” Lauren Schmidt Hissrich said upon the announcement of Cavill’s casting. “That was four months ago, and I’ve never forgotten the passion he brought. He IS Geralt. He always has been.”
