Inside directors reportedly sign on for Leatherface prequel

According to Bloody Disgusting, French directing duo Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo have been tapped for the upcoming The Texas Chain Saw Massacre prequel Leatherface. This is good news for Fangoria types, as Maury and Bustillo’s participation all but guarantees that Leatherface will be both gritty and extremely bloody—their breakthrough film, Inside, is one of those movies that video store clerks put on when they want everyone to leave at closing time (not that I’ve done that or anything).

However, the duo has been courted by—and walked away from—iconic horror franchises in the past, and there’s no reason to think they won’t do it again. Maury and Bustillo did contribute a segment in The ABCs Of Death 2, on the other hand, and they have a new film out called Among The Living for which no U.S. release date has been set.
