Iranian state TV mistakes sketch-comedy troupe for terrorists
Via The Sound Of Young America: Press TV, the Iranian state-funded news network, has apparently missed the joke. It's reporting that "virtual reality 'terrorist' group" Kasper Hauser—the San Francisco-based sketch-comedy outfit—has hacked into President Obama's BlackBerry and is publishing "sensitive" exchanges among Obama, VP Biden, and Hillary Clinton.
All of this is true, sort of. Kasper Hauser is publishing a book of Obama's BlackBerry messages, but they're not real. (Our attempts to find the Arabic or Persian word for "satire" online failed.) The book, Obama's BlackBerry, comes out next week via Little, Brown.
In the meantime, enjoy that spike in orders from Iran, Kasper Hauser!
