Here’s what’s up in the world of TV for Monday, February 2. All times are Eastern.
Jane The Virgin (The CW, 9 p.m.): Jane is Monday’s top pick again? Well, yes, because the two-part Better Call Saul premiere doesn’t start until next week and because no matter how many Monday night series return or begin, Jane pretty firmly maintains its status as the best thing about Mondays. But this week is also a pretty special week for Jane The Virgin, as the writers have promised we’re going to find out who Sin Rostro is once and for all tonight. So now’s the time to get in your last theories for how this reveal is going to go down. Is Abuela secretly the criminal mastermind? Is it really Rafael like Michael thinks? Or Rafael’s father like Rose thinks? Or is Rose casting suspicion on her husband because it’s really her? I guess we’ll all know soon enough! Petra’s past also catches up to her, and shady things are still afoot behind the scenes on The Passions Of Santos, where Jane’s writing gig is going well…until she finds out she has to write her father’s death scene. We also learned last week that EGOT winner Rita Moreno will be joining the cast this season as Rogelio’s mother.
The Originals (The CW, 8 p.m.): It’s almost time for the big wedding day for Jackson and Hayley, who, once married through an old pack ritual, will basically become wolf royalty once and for all and grant their pack the powers to control when they transform between their wolf and human states. But there’s one part of this ritual they’ll have to go through first if they hope to make it work: a truth-telling ceremony. That’s right: In order for the magical wedding to do it’s thang, Jackson and Hayley have to confess all of their secrets to each other. This doesn’t make Klaus happy one bit, but what does? Meanwhile, Rebekah makes a friend in the asylum.
Gotham (Fox, 8 p.m.)
Sleepy Hollow (Fox, 9 p.m.)
Star Wars Rebels (Disney XD, 9 p.m.)
The Super Bowl is over, but we’ve still got you covered on the football front in the latest One Season Wonders, Weirdos, And Wannabes, in which Joshua Alston writes about ESPN’s Playmakers.
The Bachelor (ABC, 8 p.m.): Eleven contenders remain on The Bachelor, and Chris takes them all on an excursion in the most romantic city of them all, Sante Fe (??). One of the bachelorettes meets a love guru (??). And one lucky lady gets to join Chris on a hot air balloon!
The Celebrity Apprentice (NBC, 8 p.m.): Contestants create a photo bomb and hashtag campaign, and we’re not exactly sure what that means other than that The Celebrity Apprentice is trying to be #relevant.
State Of Affairs (NBC, 10 p.m.): President Payton is forced into a corner and has to make a deal with the press in order to protect a top-secret intelligence operation. But some of her own darkest secrets might get exposed! So many secrets on this show!
Castle (ABC 10 p.m.): A client hires Castle to investigate whether her husband is cheating on her, but things take a drastic turn when Castle witnesses her get murdered. Beckett and Castle try to investigate, but run into a wall when they realize they have no real evidence to go off of.
Groundhog Day (AMC, 5:30 p.m.): Celebrate February 2 over and over and over with AMC’s screening of Groundhog Day.
The Big Lebowski (IFC, 8 p.m.): Or you can celebrate Groundhog Day by watching The Big Lebowski, because there are no hard rules for how one should celebrate Groundhog Day so you should just live your life how you choose!
College Basketball: Iowa State at Kansas (ESPN, 9 p.m.): The Cyclones bested Kansas 86-81 on January 17, securing back-to-back wins in the series for the first time in over a decade.
Saturday Night Live: Over the weekend, J.K. Simmons hosted SNL, and D’Angelo performed as the musical guest. D’Angelo was the best part.
