Jimmy Fallon got The Avengers to remake the damn Brady Bunch theme
Jimmy Fallon is good at several things: Laughing maniacally at everything his guests say; exploiting nostalgia in increasingly creative ways; and getting incredibly famous people to do his bidding. Christ, just look at the above clip, which finds the main cast of Avengers: Infinity War singing about how they all came together to the tune of The Brady Bunch. Like, this is an A-list assemblage of talent—Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chadwick Boseman, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chris Hemsworth, and several more—doing an extremely dumb, very sweet bit. It’s wild to see.
“Here’s the story of a playboy genius,” Downey Jr sings at the top, “who was gearing up to form some sort of crew.” You can figure out where it goes from there, but highlights include Cumberbatch’s mugging, Chris Evans’ weird Chicago accent, and Chris Pratt singing like a goddamned angel. Stick around until the end for a genuinely funny bit involving Hemsworth and one conspicuously absent co-star.
Infinity War opens tonight. As charming as the video is, fingers crossed there’s no singing.
