Julia Louis-Dreyfus has just announced that she’s been diagnosed with breast cancer, sharing a brief message on Twitter that requests everyone works to help “make universal health care a reality.”

The Hollywood Reporter says that Louis-Dreyfus received the diagnosis just a day after winning an Emmy for her starring role on HBO’s Veep, and Veep creator Armando Iannucci has shared a message of support for Louis-Dreyfus that says “it is possible to be dignified and fierce at the same time.”

A number of other celebrities are also expressing their support, including breast cancer survivor Christina Applegate.
