Who he is: Karl Mordo, former Master Of The Mystic Arts
His power: Magical abilities similar to those of Stephen Strange, including teleportation with a Sling Ring and the power to suck magic out of other people. He’s also a skilled martial artist and possesses the Staff Of The Living Tribunal and the Vaulting Boots Of Valtorr.
His story: As seen in Doctor Strange, Mordo came to Kamar-Taj to be trained by the Ancient One so he could take revenge on someone who had harmed him in some way. Eventually, the Ancient One convinced him to abandon his vengeful ways, and he became fully dedicated to her teachings and her own mission to protect the world from magic threats. When Stephen Strange showed up in search of magic that could fix his hands, Mordo was one of his earliest supporters. He convinced the Ancient One to teach Strange, and Mordo even offered him the wi-fi password and taught him about cool magic relics. Eventually, Mordo discovered that the Ancient One had been abusing the magic of the Dark Dimension, making her no better than the villainous Kaecilius. After the Ancient One’s death, Mordo put aside his disillusionment long enough to help Strange and Wong fight Dormammu, but once the world was saved, he abandoned the other Masters Of The Mystic Arts.

Currently, Mordo is: Traveling the world, sucking magic out of people who he believes don’t deserve it. That’s probably going to make things awkward the next time he bumps into Dr. Strange.
Where will we see him next? Unknown, but probably in the eventual Doctor Strange sequel.
