According to Deadline, former Battlestar Galactica star Katee Sackhoff is putting her sci-fi flight suit back on for Another Life, a Netflix drama about an astronaut on a mission to discover “the genesis of an alien artifact” along with her “young crew.” Sackhoff will play the lead space traveler, Niko Breckinridge, and the Deadline story says that she and her crew will “face unimaginable danger on what might very well be a one-way mission.” That may sound like a spoiler, but pop culture has already made it abundantly clear that “investigating the origins of an alien artifact” is one of the easiest ways to guarantee that your space adventure will end with you being brutally murdered by space monsters.
Netflix has already picked up Another Life for a 10-episode season, and the show will be produced by Alias Grace’s Noreen Halpern. Deadline didn’t offer a premiere date, which means the show is most likely pretty far off.
