Kevin Costner may join Superman cast

Kevin Costner is reportedly up for a “key role” in Zack Snyder’s Superman: Man Of Steel, according to Deadline, which is a Superman casting rumor that seems entirely more plausible than the idea of putting Lindsay Lohan in there. There’s obviously been no confirmation of which role Costner would play, though it seems most likely it would be adoptive father Pa Kent, given that Costner is too old for Jimmy Olsen, too mellow to play Perry White, and too brassily sexual for Lois Lane. Or we suppose he could just show up and randomly serenade Henry Cavill with “Superman 14.”
