Kevin Shields says there's a new My Bloody Valentine record coming—for real this time
A mere five months after Kevin Shields promised he was finishing a record he started in 1996, the My Bloody Valentine frontman has told NME (again!) that the thing will be out before the end of the year, giving him only a little over a month to make good on that promise. The long-awaited follow-up to the band’s 1991 classic Loveless won't be in stores, but rather only available via Shields’ website. Shields also it will precede another EP of more totally new recordings due sometime in 2013.
