Kids choose Avengers and the Fuller House cast chooses Lori Loughlin at Nickelodeon's awards show
It’s always fun when something comes out of left field at an awards show, like nearly every accolade awarded to Green Book and Bohemian Rhapsody over the last few months, but there’s also something to be said for the awards shows that go completely by the book without any major shocks or upsets. This weekend’s Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards was a show like that, proving yet again that, while kids may occasionally be cool, they are also fairly predictable. One of the biggest winners of the night, if you can believe this, was the Avengers franchise, with Infinity War getting Favorite Movie, Iron Man winning Favorite Superhero, and Chris Pratt winning Favorite Butt-Kicker (he technically won for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, but come on, nobody actually cared about that movie). Also, Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation picked up the Favorite Male Voice and Favorite Female Voice awards (Adam Sandler and Selena Gomez), while Incredibles 2 won Favorite Animated Movie—which is probably the only upset, but maybe the kid voters hadn’t gotten a chance to see Into The Spider-Verse.
