Who is she: Lady Deathstrike, a.k.a. Yuriko Oyama
Her power: Lady Deathstrike has adamantium claws that she can extend from her fingertips, the ability to heal from most injuries, and enhanced speed and agility.
Her story: It’s not clear how Yuriko Oyama came to be Col. William Stryker’s deadly bodyguard in X2, but she underwent a similar process as Wolverine to gain her adamantium-covered claws. Forced to work for Stryker after being exposed to a mind-control fluid extracted from Stryker’s mutant son, Lady Deathstrike helps the colonel kidnap Cyclops and Professor X, who he plans to use to wipe out mutantkind. She later faces off against Wolverine in the room where he became Weapon X, engaging in a vicious fight that ends when Wolverine jams a tube into her and pumps her full of liquid adamantium. Lady Deathstrike’s healing factor can’t counteract liquid metal hardening in her veins, and she dies with glistening streams of metal pouring out of her eyes.

Currently, Lady Deathstrike is: Her status is unknown following the timeline changes of X-Men: Days Of Future Past, but with Stryker still presenting a threat, Yuriko could still be on track to become Lady Deathstrike.
Where will we see her next? There are no plans for Lady Deathstrike to appear in future X-films, but the new timeline makes her available if any movies need an assassin with fatal fingernails. (Sounds like someone who could make a good butt for Deadpool’s jokes.)
