Who he is: Laufey, King Of The Frost Giants
His power: In addition to superhuman strength and durability, Laufey possesses the ability to create and manipulate different forms of ice. He also has an extremely long life span, thousands of years in duration.
His story: Laufey is King Of The Frost Giants, residing on Jotunheim. After an invasion of Earth resulted in the lengthy and brutal war with Asgard, the Frost Giants were defeated, and in addition to claiming the powerful weapon, Odin took with him Laufey’s abandoned son, Loki. Hundreds of years later, in the events of Thor, Laufey confronts Odin’s son and mocks him, starting a fierce battle that only ends with the appearance of Odin. Laufey then cuts a deal with Loki to invade Asgard, only to be betrayed by him at the last second, as he’s killed by his own son.
