Lego adds Scooby-Doo to its list of licensed playsets
Lego, the multimedia brand that occasionally also makes plastic toys, has announced that Scooby-Doo will be the latest franchise to receive its profit-granting touch. The Denmark-based toy company will start producing minifigures and playsets for the long-running cartoon franchise—including the members of Mystery Inc. and the titular canine, long considered pop culture’s most erudite crime-solving dog—later this year. The company will also be working with its partners at Warner Bros. to produce the inevitable 22-minute Lego Scooby-Doo animated special intended to promote the set.
