Liam Gallagher and his former band Oasis are inexorably linked with his hometown of Manchester, where a terrorist attack earlier this week at an Ariana Grande concert left 22 dead. Snd come next Tuesday, Gallagher will play his first ever solo gig as a benefit for victims of the bombing, Variety reports. The proceeds from the concert, set to take place at the O2 Ritz, will go to the Manchester Evening News’ fund for the British Red Cross. “I just knew I had to. I’m not in it for the money,” Gallagher told the MEN. “The gig was going to happen anyway, and we all have to do what we can. I want to try and help pick people up.
