Listen to Israel Nash’s lovely new Americana album, Rain Plans

Americana fans might find a new favorite LP in Israel Nash’s Rain Plans. Out Tuesday, Aug. 19 but streaming now on The A.V. Club, Rain Plans is Americana at its purest, with Uncut saying the record is “soaked in rural American lore.” That makes sense, considering it was inspired by Nash’s adopted hometown of Dripping Springs, Texas—population 1788—as well as the space and peace that country living can bring you. It’s also a little psychedelic, lest all that country stuff scare you away.

Nash is touring later this summer, with dates listed below. Rain Plans is available now for pre-order via iTunes.
