Live from New York, it’s a trailer for the SNL documentary called Live From New York!

Saturday Night Live’s recent 40th anniversary celebration was, by most accounts, perfectly tolerable. It didn’t actively hurt anyone (as far as we know), and there were some pretty funny segments, which is all anyone can ask. Because of this, positive attitudes toward Saturday Night Live are practically at an all-time high, and documentary filmmaker Bao Nguyen is looking to capitalize on these comparatively good feelings with Live From New York!, a documentary about the history of the show. This trailer leans pretty hard on the importance of SNL’s ability to tap into hot-button issues and political happenings, but it also shows a few clips from old sketches and new interviews with important figures from SNL’s past talking about what the show means—including Amy Poehler, Chris Rock, Tina Fey, and Alec Baldwin. Live From New York! will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 15—if you happen to be going there—and it’ll be in select theaters on June 12.
