M. Night Shyamalan may provide twists on a weekly basis with his new Syfy series
Prompting the question of whether it is possible to hold back a plot twist for the entire length of a TV series, M. Night Shyamalan has landed a pilot deal with Syfy for his first small-screen endeavor, a collaboration with Buffy The Vampire Slayer writer-producer Marti Noxon. Titled Proof, it concerns the son of a "billionaire tech genius" who, following the death of his parents, offers a fortune to anyone who can find proof (He said the name of the show!) of the afterlife. The odds on it eventually being revealed that he's dead and already living in the afterlife are, obviously, pretty good. (The odds that you will say, "That was pretty good" are not, obviously, pretty good.)
