Mark Wahlberg re-teaming with director Peter Berg for action film Mile 22
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mark Wahlberg is getting back together with his Lone Survivor director Peter Berg for a new action movie about a CIA agent (Wahlberg) trying to transport an informant to a getaway plane. The film is called Mile 22, because the getaway plane is 22 miles away—though that doesn’t sound too far to us. As we’ve previously reported, UFC fighter Ronda Rousey and The Raid’s Iko Uwais will also appear in the film, presumably as people who take part in cool action scenes.
In addition to working together on Lone Survivor, Wahlberg and the other Berg are currently filming Deepwater Horizon, the upcoming disaster movie based on the BP oil spill. After this, they’ll most likely drift apart and slowly lose touch until the only interactions they have are on Facebook. Then they’ll meet back up at the 10-year Lone Survivor reunion and wonder why they don’t hang out anymore, but deep down they’ll both know that they don’t really care about the other anymore.
