It’s safe to say Rivers knows her way around the set—not only was her late mother, comedy legend Joan Rivers, the original host of the show, but she also serves as an executive producer. Rather than go through the grueling task of finding a fourth, Rivers, Rancic, and Goreski will form a trendy triumvirate that will be tasked with making sure actors and performers (and their stylists) never feel entirely comfortable in their own skin. The three hosts will be joined by two different celebs each week, possibly licking their wounds after having lost on a previous fashion gamble.
The Fashion Police squad has seen a lot of turnover in the last year: Kelly Osbourne left in February following some questionable comments made by Rancic, and Kathy Griffin, who was briefly on board to do the Regina George honors, quit after just seven episodes because she felt the show contributed to “a culture of unattainable perfectionism and intolerance toward difference.”
