Mike O’Brien pitches us his Glory-inspired, semi-hardcore romantic drama

Seeing as how he came up in Chicago’s Second City before appearing on and writing for Saturday Night Live, it should come as no surprise that Mike O’Brien is a hell of an improviser. He proves that in the latest episode of The A.V. Club’s Talent Show, with the Seven Minutes In Heaven host pitching movies based on words he pulls from our big hat o’ premises. In just a couple short minutes, O’Brien whips up elevator pitches for a semi-pornographic romantic drama based on the Civil War racism flick Glory, something called Underwater Farewell, and an epic look at the conflict between a young couple and a bridge troll.

Mike O’Brien’s comedy record, Tasty Radio, is out now on Comedy Dynamics.
