Morena Baccarin to play the female lead in Deadpool
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Morena Baccarin has signed on for the highly coveted role of Deadpool’s love interest in the upcoming Deadpool movie. She’ll be the envy of men and women everywhere as she makes out with a gross, scarred-up version of Ryan Reynolds while he looks directly at the camera and says something meta about how he’s hooking up with Inara from Firefly and everyone in the theater will laugh. Then, Deadpool and Morena Baccarin will eat chimichangas and wear clothes with an absurd number of pouches.
We don’t actually know anything else about who Baccarin will be playing, but it’s a safe bet that she’ll be one of the many comic book characters who can inexplicably tolerate spending time with Deadpool. Maybe Domino? Or Shiklah, his vampire wife from the comics? We’re hoping she’ll be playing Cable in an Elementary-style gender twist. The two characters are already best buddies, so making them romantically involved isn’t too much of a stretch.
Gina Carano and T.J. Miller also joined Deadpool last week, with Carano playing a mutant named Angel Dust and T.J. Miller possibly playing a voice in Deadpool’s head. Famous X-Man Colossus will also show up, but he won’t be played by Daniel Cudmore, who played him in the X-Men movies. Maybe Morena Baccarin will be Colossus? It would make about as much sense as anything else in a Deadpool story.
