Murderbot season two recruits basically every actor alive

Murderbot, Chris Weitz and Paul Weitz’s genial and genially strange adaptation of Martha Wells’ Hugo and Nebula Award-winning The Murderbot Diaries, is expanding its cast for its second season by a substantial margin. Apple TV has announced an impressive lineup of guest stars—25 of them, in fact—to appear in Murderbot‘s upcoming second season, bringing additional human and perhaps not-so-human contact that should unsettle Alexander Skarsgård’s deeply introverted, soap-opera-devouring security droid. 

Among them are (deep breath): Blair Underwood, Brendan Hunt, Bridget Everett, Britne Oldford, Damian Young, Divian Ladwa, Ella Jay Basco, Etienne Beydon, Griffin Newman, Jaedynn Latter, Jason George, Kali Reis, Katy O’Brian—*deeper breath*—Maddy Strauss, Marc Menchaca, Martha Plimpton, Meredith Salenger, Michael Sheen, Nia Otchere-Sarfo, Nicholas Braun, Patton Oswalt, Steve Buscemi, Topher Grace, Tramell Tillman, and Wanda Sykes. 

This veritable parade of ringers joins series regulars *fresh deep breath* Skarsgård, Noma Dumezweni, David Dastmalchian, Sabrina Wu, Akshay Khanna, Tattiawna Jones, and Tamara Podemski, as well as recurring guest stars Clark Gregg, John Cho, DeWanda Wise, and Jack McBrayer. 

How many of the series’ fresh crop of actors will be attached to star in Murderbot’s favorite soap, The Rise And Fall Of Sanctuary Moon, will have to be determined sometime after Murderbot season two wraps production.
