Natalie Portman's big ol' mess of a Western continues to be a big ol' mess
Continuing a behind-the-scenes drama that will assuredly be far more interesting than whatever ends up on the screen—if anything—the Natalie Portman-starring Western Jane Got A Gun has lost yet another star, this time the only recently added Bradley Cooper. It was a mere three weeks ago that Cooper agreed to sub in on the film that increasingly requires some sort of flowchart to keep track of who replaced whom: Cooper was a last-minute exchange for Jude Law, who in turn was swapped in for Michael Fassbender—all of them coming and going under the non-supervision of director Lynne Ramsay, who quit the production by just not showing up to work on her first day. And much like a restaurant wait staff who only takes its job as seriously as its manager, Jane Got A Gun has basically been off getting high in the walk-in and spitting in the salad dressing for kicks ever since.
