Ratings-wise, the show’s recently extended sixth season is certainly doing noicely enough, scoring roughly 4 million viewers a week, a strong uptick from its last year on Fox. The series did suffer something of a blow this year, losing the deranged perfection of Chelsea Peretti’s Gina; still, we all just have to soldier along with the rest of its amazing cast, and also Hitchcock and Scully. (But we kid Dirk Blocker and Joel McKinnon, who do stellar work as the Nine-Nine’s least-stellar detectives.)
Brooklyn Nine-Nine was killed off on Fox last year, only to be revived this January by NBC. The Michael Schur/Dan Goor-helmed series was originally picked up for a 13-episode sixth season, but that’s since been bumped up to a full order of 18.
