The hardest-working man in hardly-work gigs involving hosting stuff is about to add another line to his resume. Deadline reports that Syfy is developing a weekly news show from Chris Hardwick’s Nerdist Industries, with Hardwick serving as executive producer. The show, tentatively titled Nerdist News, will be a half-hour long and will be co-produced by Hardwick’s Talking Dead cohort Brandon Monk.
The show is described as consisting of “goofy and irreverent takes on news from the realms of sci-fi, fantasy, gaming, technology, science and movies.” And while Nerdist already has a Nerdist News YouTube Channel hosted by Jessica Chobot, it’s unclear whether Chobot would be moving over to Syfy to host this new endeavor as well. We will now pause to allow commenters the opportunity to come up lines to which subsequent commenters can reply with the one-word response, “Points!”
