Nicole Kidman wants to try more TV, maybe a comedy
Nicole Kidman is a properly fancy film actor who got her start in stuff like the Australian crime drama BMX Bandits, but she recently decided to check out this TV thing with roles in Top Of The Lake and Big Little Lies. She even seems to have enjoyed the experience, saying during the Television Critics Association summer press tour this weekend that she would “love” to do more TV. She doesn’t know if it’s definitely “in the future,” but she’s certainly interested in returning to the small screen.
In fact, she even has an idea for the kind of role she’d like, saying, “I would love to be able to do a comedy.” Kidman says that nobody ever offers her comedy roles, but she’s at a point in her life where she’s “so up for anything.” Kidman doesn’t want just any kind of comedy roles, though, it sounds like she would be interested in something broad and physical. She says her nine-year-old daughter “has Lucille Ball in her,” and she has been teaching Kidman a lot about physical comedy. “I’m willing to fall flat on my face,” she says. “I know how to get back up again. I’m willing to get back up again.”
